The Web Developer is part of a cross-functional regional advertising team with clients across the Middle East. The role is responsible for the technology that powers performance for our client’s marketing campaigns, working closely with campaign managers, designers, and sales to ensure client satisfaction and client return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Build healthy automated services that are designed for performance and scale.
- Design, build, and maintain robust web pages, web applications, and APIs - from the service that powers them right down to the line of code that perfects them.
- Gain a detailed understanding of the complete architecture of our product and opportunities for enhancement.
- Handle the entire software development life cycle, end to end, while maintaining both standards of quality and adherence to timelines
- Work closely with the advertising operations and sales teams from the early stages of designing customer solutions all the way through to resolving production issues.
- Maintain a high availability production environment of 5 nines or greater
Requirements
- 4-year bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM program
- 2-years or more of experience as an engineer working on production software applications or websites
- 2-years or more of vanilla JavaScript and CSS (Bootstrap, Tailwind) experience
- Experience with WordPress both front-end and back-end as well as building themes and plugins
- Experience In engineering workflow tools such as Github or Gitlab, and build automation technologies
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO best practices, page rank, PageSpeed, and core web vitals
- Basic experience with React, Javascript framework
- Basic experience with a static website generator such as Jekll, Next.js, Hugo, or GatsbyUnderstanding of adtech a plus - such as HTML5 creative, GAM, prebid, RTB, IAB standards, programmatic advertising and auction based sales.
