You in This Role You’re detail-obsessed, organized, and energized by creating structure out of chaos. You thrive in fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environments where products evolve quickly and accuracy matters. You’re comfortable in the weeds of engineering documentation, but you also know how to pull cross-functional teams together and keep them aligned. You can manage multiple change initiatives at once, ask the right questions, and spot gaps before they become problems. Most importantly, you know how to build PLM frameworks from scratch and create disciplined processes for BOM accuracy, change orders, configuration control, and document traceability.

A Day in the Life

  • Managing change requests (ECO, MCO, DCO) and driving them through cross-functional review
  • Owning and improving BOM accuracy across multiple motor and drone products
  • Acting as the primary system owner for our PLM platform (Arena or similar)
  • Supporting integration between PLM and NetSuite ERP
  • Working side-by-side with Engineering, Product, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
  • Documenting every iteration, revision, and configuration across hundreds of evolving components
  • Ensuring all product and manufacturing documentation is audit-ready
  • Serving as our document control lead for future ISO and government audits
  • Project managing changes - from magnet swaps to multi-component redesigns
  • Building new processes that eliminate spreadsheet-based tracking and move us into automated, scalable systems

Every day, you’ll make sure the right version of the right part is in the right place - and that everyone is aligned around it.

What You’ll Do

  • Own configuration management across all products, components, and assemblies
  • Maintain 100% BOM accuracy, including SKUs, part structures, and documentation
  • Lead and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Manufacturing Change Orders (MCOs), and Document Change Orders (DCOs)
  • Implement and administer the company’s PLM system (Arena preferred)
  • Create processes for revision control, version tracking, and product configuration
  • Support PLM ↔ ERP (NetSuite) integration and data synchronization
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality
  • Establish document control processes that meet ISO 9001 and audit requirements
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all product documentation and configuration questions
  • Consolidate scattered spreadsheets into controlled digital workflows
  • Manage product configuration for hundreds of iterations and development cycles
  • Improve data accuracy, traceability, and compliance across product lifecycle stages
  • Support ongoing BOM clean-up, product structuring, and standardization efforts
  • Work in a hands-on environment where details, version control, and documentation rigor are essential

Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
  • PLM experience (Arena strongly preferred)
  • ERP experience (NetSuite preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage BOM structure, accuracy, and change control
  • Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Ability to project manage complex cross-functional change initiatives
  • Deep understanding of ECO, MCO, and DCO processes
  • Strong documentation, organization, and version-control skills
  • Ability to influence teams and “pull” information when needed
  • Comfort working in the details with highly technical teams

Nice to Have:

  • Hands-on experience implementing a PLM system from scratch
  • ISO 9001 exposure and audit-readiness work
  • Experience integrating PLM with ERP systems
  • Background supporting hardware products with many iterations

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to build a PLM and configuration management system from the ground up
  • A critical role shaping how motors and drones are built, documented, and controlled
  • Ownership of processes that are foundational to our growth and compliance
  • Deep partnership with Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
  • A seat at the table for every major product change and technical decision

This is a high-impact role for someone who loves structure, documentation, consistency, and cross-functional collaboration
